About the director
I am a Christian who has been blessed with a beautiful wife, Peggy, and six wonderful children. We moved to Owensboro from Maryland in August, 2023.
A graduate of the Peabody Conservatory Institute of Music, John Hopkins University MD, I hold a Bachelor’s degree in trombone performance and music education and also a Bachelor’s in Computer Science from UMBC. Up until last year, I taught instrumental and vocal music in Baltimore County School System. I have also directed church choirs, coached Honors Band and All-State sectionals, freelanced on trombone, and been active as a composer and arranger.
My elementary students worked hard each year, earning Superior ratings and 1st place at the Music in the Parks Festival at Hershey Park, PA. Those were fun times!
During this same time, I directed the Carroll Music Program in Jacksonville MD, which offered group lessons for strings, woodwinds, brass, and percussion I am thrilled to begin this same program here at the Owensboro Music Academy.
I retired last year from Baltimore County and my family, and I have been very happy here in Kentucky, I look forward to a new start here in Owensboro teaching and performing music!
